...so nobody uses dvd rebuilder for downsizing. All these apps are for 1:1 dvd copy?! That's why I cannot find the specific option among the tools...
Just in case that I have not missed something I preffer to stick with rempeg2 if I have time to kill!

sorry, i dont get your question

every user of rb uses it to REDUCE the source to dvd5

thus i wouldnt know why this questions occurs at all

rb will calculate an average bitrate to make the final output fit to dvd5

I cannot find where is located the option for downsizing the movie. Every time I tried to backup the movie I received a full length compilation. I'm using v.094 free version. So If anybody knows what I'm doing wrong please advise.
    Thanks

No such thing as settings to have Rebuilder downsize from DVD9 to DVD5. Check to see if No Compression is selected under Mode (upper left of the RB window). Other than that, DVD RB will automatically encode (compress) according to the settings checked. DVD9s are compressed to fit the DVD5 format, no settings except for content (editing) options and the no compression I mentioned before. There are no commands for downsizing from DVD9 to DVD5, that is the purpose of RB.
