Am I doin this right?

    Kind of off topic, but this is just the last thread I read in a bunch that mentions this:

    Why does everyone down Memorex? I'm referring to IHoe's post. I've used Memorex DVD-R's and usually get them at half price (or buy 1 case, get another free) type deal... and I have never had a problem burning and never made a coaster. Sure, you get what you pay for and I'm sure that higher quality media will offer better quality and such, but people are constantly saying Memorex is trash and will be the cause of bad burns and constant coasters.

    Simply not the case. Now I've had bad burns due to messing up the ripping or encoding processes, but those were my fault... when it comes down to it, putting the files on the disc, when done properly, has never failed me.

    That's just my 2 cents.

    my dvd player is a pacific (about £40) from asda
    it has never let me down and i use dvd-vcd-mp3-music cd
    would be interesting to hear from other peoples thoughts on what players they use with minimal fuss
