amityville horror problem burning

    used dvd shrink to burn the new amityville horror but when encoding and reaches 11% it says "data error cyclic reduncy check" please help i have philips 16x dual layer burner and use 16x memorex dvd+r media thanks again

    This usually means that the disc is too dirty, scratched or crappy in quality. What kind of media are you using? Only use Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim. Maxell, FUJI and Sony are fine as long as they are made in Japan.
    I think there is already a thread out there that explains all this much better, so jsut search CRC, it will be the one with the most hits, probably 5th down.

    Any time I have this problem I have to run the disk through DVD FABexpress or Decrypter. It could be the media but I have gotten this error with Fuji and Maxell disks. So I don't really think so.

    No problems with this movie - done with DVD Shrink only. Easy puppy - just rolls over and wants to play.

    Would suggest using better quality media - Memorex is very erratic and promlematic.

    me too - DVD Shrink on it's lonesome here...no problems at all...

    I think i did Amity w/ trial vs ANYDVD & CLONE - no probs for me
