I need help understanding what is required to get my xbox chipped and working. I have spent ages reading forums, checking guides and looking at porn but I’m still not 100% on what to do. What I believe needs to happen is as follows, please read, laugh and correct as necessary… 1) Chip my Xbox (I’m going to use the Xecuter 2.3b pro chip) 2) Add a bigger HDD while I’m at it so that I can copy games to it. 3) The chip comes with a Cromwell bios so I need to flash it with something “better”, what I though I needed was Slayers EvoX (but not sure if this is a dashboard now?) 4) I then need to have a boot disk, something about a dashboard and that is it, I’m now totally lost. I don’t get why I suck at this, I’ve worked in IT for 9 years and can usually pick stuff up really quick. All i want to be able to do it back up games to my HDD and play import games. I know you’re not supposed to tell me where to download stuff, that’s fine – I just need to know what I need to download so I can get going. Many Thanks!!!
i have the 2.3pro and i used the m7 bios and the slayers 2.5. That is everything you need. The slayers comes with the Evox dashboard. Thats all you have to do is FTP to your computer and download FlashXP program. Then make an ISO file using Craxtion then burn.
OK! What you need to do is go to http://www.x-b-o-x.net create an account (its free) and go look around in the download section, not going to say what is there but it’s the honey pot if you get my drift! Buy your mod (I like the matrix because I never use xbox live) You can wire the switches external and disable it or use auto disable but the heck with that, if I want to play online I will play on my computer The nice thing about the matrix is it is solder less and there is great instillation instructions for the complete process at http://www.geocities.com/seamonkeyguides/ that a 2 year old could follow (well done seamonkey!) The matrix only works on xbox versions 1.0-1.2 and it’s very easy to flash. OK step 1 Flash the mod with evoxm7 downloaded from the ahem! web using a PC with programmer and running xp.exe to program, downloaded from http://www.xodus-chip.com/ Step 2 install mod, don’t rely on the mod LED to be of any help, just line the sucker up with the alignment holes and set it to take over! I'm not there yet as there is an international conspiricy for me not to do this... last night it was all 6 bots i tried to get Evox from went off line at about 90% of my DL on MIRC. Today sees me registering with x-b-o-x but their site not letting anyone login and therefor not get to the file dowloads. Honestly. But thanks for your reply, that is about the only thing that is going in the right direction in my failing project Cheers guys!!!
