    me and auslander were talking about this this morning. i dont know how the topic came up, but i thought i would start a thread on it. so pick an animal and tell us what political party you think it would belong to. im sure we can get some interesting ones. it just seemed kind of a funny topic to me. this is just a game to mess around with, lets keep it going and see what we come up with.

    @ poly-something: I thought they were called siamese fighting fish but yeah, they sure raise a stink! Even in two containers, if they face and see each other they blow up these colorful gills and get all nasty...like rams butting heads or roosters fighting etc. You know, typical macho alpha male, cock of the walk (he-he) bravado stuff....your know, like you and Auslander probably do every fri after a few beers LOL! Back on topic:

    prick ly porcupines .... republican
    little hoarding squirrels .... republicans
    most dogs except in-bred pit-bulls .... democart

    @auslander...I've got to disagree about the dung beetle ... anything that parasitic can't be independent, ya' think?

    @ gerry1, yes a dung beetle is very parasitic, but i think it would still be independant because it is parasitic towards all dung. :D hahaha
    anyway...

    rhino= republican

    dung beetles are indy because, while they horde dung, they also distribute what they have to ensure more dung is produced :D

    @Polyarny and Auslander...you're both absolutely right about the dung beetle; I hadn't thought of the critters in those terms. As Polyarny astoutly observed, the little vermin aren't class conscious, no bigoty, no discrimination; indeed, all dung is created equal. So too, as Auslander pointed out, they DISTRIBUTE...they SHARE THE WEALTH for the common good; could such an ideology be any more liberal? Perhaps the three of us are just plain wrong...perhaps they're the far left? And back to the topic:

    catfish and other bottom feeders...republican
