Are those DVD's scratched up pretty bad? I had trouble with a disc, it always stopped at 20% When it came to that disc I used DVDXRescue, but that was quite a while ago I don't think that program is around anymore. What version of AnyDVD did you try?
Update your anydvd - may help. What version of dvdfab are you using? That mat need an update too. What error do you get when the analysis fails?
ok - like chubbyInc suggested what condition are the discs in? I'm guessing when you say it can't get past 7% on the one and 90% on the other it just hangs there. Have another drive you can try these in?
Yeah the drive could be the problem I was using an LG Burner and it gave me a horrible time burning movies, switched to Pioneer 111D and haven't had a problem since. Also heard some people need to update firmware on their drives if they are a little older. Do you leave the computer alone when it's burning?
The discs looked in fine condition to me. No i dont have another drive. I dout its my firmware thats the problen, i just got the drive. I wish the best buy guyshad replaced my drive with a pioneer cuz i had 1 originally. I heard lg was a great name though,
May still need a firmware update even though you just got it. Depends on the date manufactured - could have been on the self a month or 2 or longer. Can't hurt to check. Keeping the pc clean too? Like disc cleanup, defrag etc? If the hard drive is heavily fragmented might cause problems ripping.
On a side note, why no avatars? Also, if I were to take this back to bb and ask for a replacment pioneer drive would they have to do it? Also, I cant get my sig to show up for the life of me, wtf am i doing wrong
The LG rive may not have a firmware update out - looks like the latest is SL00. You can check this in Nero ToolKit>InfoTool>drive tab. Sure BB will take it back if it's in the return period. Just my experience with them but they've ben decent on returns. Are these the only 2 discs giving you ripping problems? Might want to try another dvd and see what happens if you haven't. Now for no avatars that's drD's call - his site I thought you had a sig before? Hosting it at like Photobucket and then pasting the url between these tags (remove asterisks) [img*] [*/img] in the signature part under edit personal information?
Ok Have you tried to tip any other dvd's besides these 2? Have a friend w/ a drive you can try them on to see if it's just your drive? If you haven't tried Decrypter - give that one a go - decrypter
Well I guess it was the discs, didnt look bad when i saw them, but i had a buddy try it and he said they were really scratched up. Guess that means buffy was bad to eh?
That would be my guess. Looking like not the drive then. Try 'buffing' out Buffy with something non abrasive in a non circular motion. Sometimes I'll use toothpaste and a soft clothe.
