Yea, my gparents live in Lake Conroe. It's definitely faster then going down I-10. Only draw back when going this way is having to slow down when going through all those smaller towns.

dude......during philmont (camping trip in new Mexico) on my last two days all of our food was eaten by chipmunks and other animals because some turd forgot to hang the bear-bag up and all's we had left were oats/grain from the donkeys food and jerky.....i was so freaken hungry when we got back to cimarroncito i went to the buffet and lord that icecream machine met its maker!!!!
