antivirus for mac

    i thought macs couldent get viruses so why do they have this?

    basically so you dont give viruses to windows users. The viruses wont affect the mac

    There are mac viruses. They just don't get spread as much. When I was working last summer in an office the admin for the local college told me they had a group of iMacs taken out by a virus.

    As long as you're careful, you won't get a virus on Windows or Mac. If Avast wasn't free, I would have no AV on my PC at all.
