Anybody into online poker? This could be a place to trade off user names and maybe get some tournaments going. I use pacificpoker and my practice play name is Mikeyb25 on that also. I share a cash login name with one of my buddies. It's ksoloman. My friend uses that name mostly because I'm usually broke. I mostly play texas hold em and ohmaha high.

Don't like online poker, like real life poker. Play at peoples houses all the time. Also I am not 18 so I can not play online.

I agree with philipman I don't play online, but more a offline person when it comes to poker.I have the chips, hoyle cards, beer, munchies etc... except lacking the actual poker table.I wish I knew how to count cards though,I guess you have to be a genius at math though right.

I live 3 hours from Vegas, so my friends and I got there usually twice a year. I've gotten pretty damn good at blackjack, usually always come back with money from that, but then usually lose some at roulette and slots (just for fun). Vegas is the gamblers paradise...

Im like djscoop, I live in Orange County California (the OC), so Im only about 3.5 hours away and go at least twice a year. I almost never lose on blackjack (knock on wood) just by playing the basic strategy and not straying away from it. Play some piagow when Im down cause its a slooooooooooooooow game that you dont lose or win very fast. I usually only play poker at home games, I play regularly about once a week.

I suggest to anyone going to Vegas or wherever, to go to thier local library and pick up a book on casino gambling. The are a god-send and will do you a lot of good on how to bet and what games to play. stay away from roulette, Keno, the dollar wheel, casino war, and the slots. all of these games the casino gives the casino high advantage. Stick with Blackjack or Craps, if you know how to play them.

I hear ya on that. My Uncle taught me how to play a few years ago, and got me that little plastic basic strategy card. Took me a few months to memorize it (just played blackjack computer games nonstop) but once you get it memorized you supposedly reduce the house odds to >1%. I've been happy with the results, so I stick to it

it all depends on the shoe size and how all the other players are playing. try to stick to a 6 or 8 deck shoe, most in vegas are 6 deck though. those 2 deck and single deck are scams, stay away from those. They only pay 6 to 5 on a blackjack and the cards are delt face down.

I got a good blackjack story though:

I was on my way home from vegas, but i wasnt ready to stop gambling, so me and my fiance stopped at stateline. So we go to the Primm and hit the blackjack table. I start kicking some major ass, I started with like $60 and quadrupled it in like an hour.

The whole table is hot and Im feeling good. I was betting $10 a hand, get delt a pair of sevens, and the dealer is showing a six. The perfect hand to split on. So I split and get another seven, so I split again. So on my first seven I get delt a four, which is eleven, so I double down on that, and I get a nine, which is twenty, so Im set on that.

My next seven, I get a three, Which is ten, so I double down on that, and I get another nine, which is nineteen. so I'm set so far with a nineteen and a twenty.

On my next seven, I get another seven, so I split that. so on the first of those two I get another four, which is eleven, so I double down on that. I get delt a seven, which is eighteen, which is still real good against an six.

On my last seven, I get a two, which is nine, so I double down on that and get an ace, which gives me another twenty! so Im like, "sweet"

So as it stands, I have two twenties, one nineteen, one eighteen, and $80 on the table. Im feeling very good about my especially when underneath the dealers six was an ten. The dealer has a sixteen and has to hit. Then the worse thing that could happen happens, the dealer gets a five, which gives him twenty-one, which makes me lose all EIGHT of my bets on the table. I couldnt beleive the dealer hit that, I was soooooooo pissed and left the table.

LOL yeah its times like those when you just have to get up and walk away before you sock the dealer. Me, I head for the nearest bar and order me a nice big long island iced tea. Then go play mindless games like slots to take your mind off of it. But no matter how good you play, there will always be times where you just can't get ahead, and have to walk away.
