    AnyDVD History

    5.9.1.1, 2006 02 15
    - Important: When installing this version over an existing
installation, you must reboot your machine. Otherwise the changes
made in the AnyDVD device driver will not have any effect!
    - New: Added workaround for DVDShrink / Nero Recode "Out of memory"
error when copying Macrovision RipGuard protected discs with
    menus, e.g. "Madagascar" R1 (US)
    - New: Error zones on RipGuard/Arccos/PuppetLock protected titles are
now replaced with "valid material". 3rd party tools like DVDDecrypter
will now work better (no more "Pack Header Error" messages - another try,
this time it should really work).
    - Note: To use DVDDecrypter with AnyDVD set I/O Model to SPTI or ElbyCDIO.
Set CSS Cracking method to none. Disable checking for structure
    protection.
    - New: Added "AnyDVD Ripper". This little tool repairs defective DVDs
while copying them to your harddisk. It can be started from the menu of
the AnyDVD fox icon. It can be started as a stand alone application from
the start menu as well, so it can be used even if AnyDVD is not registered
and the trial period has expired.
It is identical to FixVTS (http://www.videohelp.com/~FixVTS/) but instead
of fixing problems "in place" it copies the files to your harddisk directly
from the source DVD. It fixes the problems while the files are copied.
Some DVDs which have severe mastering defects e.g.,
"Menace II Society" R1 (US) can now be copied with all DVD copy tools
(elby CloneDVD, DVDShrink, etc.) Many thanks to the author of FixVTS!
    - Fix: Hang after update check with some system configurations
    - Some minor fixes and improvements
    - Updated languages

    SlySoft CloneCD v5.2.8.1

CloneCD is a powerful CD-Copy program. It writes in Raw mode, which allows it to have total control on the data written. Therefore, it will produce real 1:1 copies of your CDs. Because of its special operation, it requires a CD-Writer which is capable of writing in this mode.
    CloneCD 5.2.8.1 Changes:
    - Fix: Capacity of DVD-R media was sometimes not reported correctly
    - Updated languages

    Thanks Ireland!
I have heard a little about CloneCD. In fact, I "read" some about it at Slysoft site. Looks promising really. After You use it a little more, could you PM me or post what you think? I read you can make one to one back-ups of DVDs as well as CDs.
    @PRCOQUI,
What "Bugs" in AnyDVD? Be specific. It would be a First if it is. Slysoft does a great job. This version WAS in "Beta". I think any "Bugs" would be already worked out before Slysoft "officially" released it.
Edited to fix a typo. Oops again :O

Not sure if slysoft is ever gonna straighten out those pack header errors, they never really bothered me Decrypter always rights them anyway. All you ever get is the LUK! arrgh! to many pack header errors and it goes on.

I checked at CDFreaks before and there is not much action over there, if there was a bug it would have started being reported by now.

    @ireland

That may be the case, I have not installed the beta versions. I think I will give it another day to see if anyone reports from slysoft on any problems. I only had one problem with AnyDVD and that was many months ago and corrected immediately. Slysoft does one heck of a job with support.

Just want to say that if there is indeed a "Bug" in this release, Slysoft will fix it & it will be very soon. Slysoft has always been Great about updates. Though I have never seen any "Bugs" per se, Slysoft will surely fix any problems quickly. I have it saved, but not installed yet. I think a little wait is in order at this point. The last release works very well. No issues at all backing any of my new ones up. Couple were Sony/Columbia too. No Probs.

    Yeah gamename,
The latest update to Nero 6, version 6.6.1.4 is quite "Buggy". What the Heck! Oh well, these things can happen.
"What Man made, Man can fix." Or, sometimes mess it up. I have Full Confidence that Slysoft will fix any issues that this release has. Nero? Yeah, maybe in a few months.:(
[bold] Anyone know of any real "issues" with 5.9.1.1? [/bold]
