Hi, See above for link. When unpacking remember password (same as 5900). History appears to be the same as 5900 beta. AnyDVD History 5.9.0.1, 2006 02 10 - Important: When installing this version over an existing installation, you must reboot your machine. Otherwise the changes made in the AnyDVD device driver will not have any effect! - New: Added workaround for DVDShrink / Nero Recode "Out of memory" error when copying Macrovision RipGuard protected discs with menus, e.g. "Madagascar" R1 (US) - New: Error zones on RipGuard/Arccos/PuppetLock protected titles are now replaced with "valid material". 3rd party tools like DVDDecrypter will now work better (no more "Pack Header Error" messages - another try, this time it should really work). - Note: To use DVDDecrypter with AnyDVD set I/O Model to SPTI or ElbyCDIO. Set CSS Cracking method to none. Disable checking for structure protection. - New: Added "AnyDVD Ripper". This little tool repairs defective DVDs while copying them to your harddisk. It can be started from the menu of the AnyDVD fox icon. It can be started as a stand alone application from the start menu as well, so it can be used even if AnyDVD is not registered and the trial period has expired. It is identical to FixVTS (http://www.videohelp.com/~FixVTS/) but instead of fixing problems "in place" it copies the files to your harddisk directly from the source DVD. It fixes the problems while the files are copied. Some DVDs which have severe mastering defects e.g., "Menace II Society" R1 (US) can now be copied with all DVD copy tools (elby CloneDVD, DVDShrink, etc.) Many thanks to the author of FixVTS! "AnyDVD Ripper" is a tool intended as a "last resort". It is not beautiful, and some of its messages cannot be localized yet. - Fix: Hang after update check with some system configurations
I noticed that the "FixVTS" home page is by jean1......is this the same jean1 from AD? If so, one smart lady! My hat is off to you! If not, my hat off to both of you!
I just installed AnyDVD 5.9.0.1 beta and for some reason Menace II Society still doesn't work. DVD Shrink is still giving the Invalid DVD navigation structure error.
I tried that too. It still doesn't work. I'm not worried about it because I have it already backed up using DVD Decrypter in ISO mode. I just thought I'd give it a shot with the new AnyDVD update, as it is supposed to be able to handle Menace II Society now. I did try a new method for this disc today and it works. Rip the disc with DVDFab Decrypter. If you open up the files with DVD Shrink, you'll get an Invalid data error. Don't worry. Run those same files through VOB Blanker. Open the files you get from VOB Blanker in DVD Shrink and it will analyize normally. You can reauthor the main movie by doing this rather than have to do a full disc backup using DVD Decrypter.
dvddecrypter in iso mode, who would have thunk it? this app just wont die.just think if it was still updated.
Yeah, I was surprised that it worked that way as well. It's obviously a single layer disc. I can't remember the exact size of the resulting ISO file, but it's somewhere around 4 gigs.
>I just installed AnyDVD 5.9.0.1 beta and for some reason Menace II Society still doesn't work. DVD Shrink is still giving the Invalid DVD navigation structure error. < You need to use the AnyDVD ripper for this, as described in the revision history.
off topic, give this a try,was updated DVDFab Decrypter 2.9.7.2 (02/12/2006) DVDFab Decrypter is a simple version of DVDFab Express. It copies entire DVD movie to hard disk, and removes all the protections (CSS, RC, RCE, APS, UOPs and Sony ARccOS) while copying. http://www.dvdidle.net/download/DVDFabDecrypter29.exe
I download the beta version last week and have burn 3 movies so far with out any problems. I only use Clonedvd2 & Shrink , so I dont know about the decrypter part yet.
