    Hi,
I'm new to this forum so if I have posted to an incorrect one I apologize in advance. Anyway I have been using DVD43 along with 1ClickDVD mosting without problems, however, today have tried to backup Cassanova,Memoirs of a Geisha, and UltraViolet-the first 2 with unrecoverable track errors and other other with the DVD43_tray error. I'm assuming these are copy protection errors. Based on that should I switch to ANYDVD. The $39 is not an issue but ease of use is. Also has anyone had any problems after they deleted DVD43.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome to AD. If money is no problem download AnyDVD and use the whole program free for 21 days. If you decide to buy it, which you will, try using either "afterdawn" or "cdfreaks" in the coupon area without quotes. If discount is on, save you $5. There is really no learning curve for AnyDVD. As for DVD 43, never used program. I haven't seen any issues here about uninstalling it. The best freebie seems to be DVD Fab Decrypter. Also you can get guides and free software downloads here:

I love the new subtitle part of the prog, it softens the subtitles, making them less harsh & less distracting.

Is it possible to use the your registration key for someone else expired trial Anydvd? I am asking because someone is/was selling a key for Anydvd on ebay for 15.00 much less that what the site wants for it. How else can you get a key if you didnt pay for one which doesnt make sense to me.

Do not buy keys on ebay. They are usually stolen and will be blacklisted.

I purchased Anydvd and clonedvd Yesterday, nice programs.
I have always used Dvd Decrypter, Dvd Fab, Dvdshrink and Recode 2 for my movies.

I tried useing Anydvd with Recode 2 but I had problems.
It would run through the beginning analysis, but it would not start the transcoding. Is there something in Anydvd I need to set to work with Recode?

I like useing recode for my "Movie Only" movies.

At some point you will not be able to update. And that's good.

Also, DVD43 can interfere with AnyDVD; it did on my computer.

You could have also used the free program RipIt4Me which will integrate with DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink. This program creates a PSL file imports it into DVDD and then you can do the new protected movies. You have another program that you dl and use with it FixVTS which will clean any bad sectors out of the file. RipIt4Me used in 1click mode is easy and you also have the option of doing just movie only.

If you are doing a newer movie using AnyDVD and Recode you would be better off ripping the file first with AnyDVD to you HDD, using the builtin ripper. Just right click on the redfox in the tray and choose Rip DVD to HDD. Check the box to remove any blank or unreferenced cells. AnyDVD incorporates FixVTS into their program also to get rid of the bad sectors. After that open Recode and you should have not problems.

What I do when I have problems w/ AnyDVD & Recode is.

Rip the dvd to your HD using AnyDVD Ripper, after that I open Recode & select the file where the movies @ & Recode reads it better.

I think when you rip to HD AnyDVD removes any junk that is causing the problem w/ Recode recoginzing it.
