just info, anydvd and clonedvd are located in Antiqua, West Indies i been using the programs since day one..and was using clonedvd when there was no anydvd. i bought clonedvd and anydvd years ago..and only paid one for each program. i have done dual layer with clonedvd and very happy with the results. so far clonedvd and anydvd has proven to be the best software out and are constantly updated.. my one cents,
One of the things that I absolutely love about CloneDVD2 is how it handles CRC errors when the disc is dirty. I like being able to simply take the disc out, clean it up, place it back in the tray and hit retry. It saves alot of time by not having to cancel the process and start over.
The above is a very good point, CRC has happened only a couple of times for me, but to be able to remove, clean & replace was a stroke of genius! [bold]SlySoft truly rock![/bold]
I have noticed there has been no update for clone dvd any ideas? its a great program anydvd was worth the money
Updates tend to arrive when there is a need or major improvement. There has been no need to "update" a well working program.
AnyDVD is able to let you back up all DVD's. I havent found one yet it couldnt do. Use the trial before you buy it.
The simplicity that CloneDVD uses makes it really great. Very easy for beginners and yet produces a quality backup. Kudos sylsoft.
I was using dvd decrypter and dvd shrink all was fine till I met Madagascar. .... I used Anydvd/clonedvd and it ripped and copied first time no probs so I would not only say a BIG YES but buy the two together and save some noney AND i entered the coupon code "afterdawn" or "cdfreaks" (without the quotes) at the checkout screen and got a further $10 discount!! These two progs are dead simple to use, three button pushes and you're backing up your dvd!!
A very big yes. I use these two and shrink. have tried alot of programs and these are the best and easiest to use.
The other thing I really like about anyDVD and CloneDVD is they very regularly publish updates (3 in the last week!!) so they are very active with the product which is encouraging!
It won't be long before it gets too cumbersome to udate/fix/patch AnyDVD for use with no longer developed products, ie: Shrink. I love Shrink, but technology is moving on. Let's hope CloneDVD2 incorporates some of Shrink's features... There are several work-arounds to keep using Shrink (besides SlySoft's bending over backwards to keep AnyDVD "friendly" with it), though... That being said: YES, buy them...
forget that clonedvd is one of the best transcoders around, forget about its simplicity, forget about its great speed, forget about its great quality, forget about all that. you want to know what i love the most about clonedvd2? the sheep eating popcorn and then writing, LOL.
