Of course there is. People aren't imagining the same problems. The fact that things seem fine, now, on my system doesn't mean they are. I run a pretty lean system and it was definitely the update to AnyDVD that caused the problem. That doesn't mean it's not a fantastic program, it is but the update definitely has problems.
i emailed slysoft about the problem got a respones ,they wanted more details so i foward more info back and havent heard anything as of yet. everyone having trouble please email slysoft so there aware of the widespread problem with this update
did ye members lately check ye processor when using clonedvd and anydvd.. checked it on 3-computers and its sure running hot.. starts out at 27% ends up at 91%... movie i tested it on was the sound of music.. i took anydvd back to v6061,no diff between when using 6061 or 6063..
No check on the processor but I did email Slysoft of the problem I had. Response was fast but specifically not requested and I received keys for every program I ever bought from them. They even had the invoice from a year ago. When I emailed them again of their mistake, I received the keys again and 7 other emails from them telling me how to install the keys (all the same) and showing my reply to them. They were'nt automated responses either. Superfast, though. Weird
Though I am not having the problems with this update as some are. There is a site where you can get previous versions if you want to go back to 6.0.6.1. In fact you can get several older versions here: http://filehippo.com/download_anydvd/ You can also get e Super Good registry cleaner for Free there too. Ccleaner. (Crap Cleaner) Superb registry tool! You can uninstall the new update 6.0.6.3, re-boot, use Ccleaner, scan for issues option, fix all the uninstaller references. Re-Install any older version you wish. I hope this helps someone. Me, I keep all versions on a CD-R.
@cincyrob If shutting down anyDVD in the MSCONFIG didnt work try going into safemode then delete the shortcuts but leave 1. It should let you delete them going into safemode.
aabbccdd, you were right, after first reading your first post at the time I tought I didn't have a problem with the 6063 update, later that night I tried to make a copy of my Friends with Money and I got a note from clone saying I din't have any decoder and my little tray fox icon stayed pink instead of red, I tried my DVDXPlat. from xcopy and the same thing, even my clone was acting goofy, I redownloded anydvd and than it worked, plus today anydvd came up with a new update, 6070 I believe, I havent tried it yet but I will tomorrow, also I think the people at slysoft knew there was a problem because I never saw them throw out a new update within a couple of days, anyway hope whatever the problem was will be fixed with this new update, let you know how I make out tomorrow.
aabbccdd, oh crappoly, I already installed the new version last night, when you say a clean install do you mean to remove the old version first? you know I tought about that but was a little afraid if I did it that way I might have a problem re-installing, or would it be a no problem, reason I say is because sometimes when you do a remove than want to re-install again you might need to get ahold of the company again and get new application numbers etc. and all that nonsence.
@FredBun You should have no problem using the key you where provided from slysoft with the new updated program. Below is an insert off Slysofts page on how to uninstall and reinstall the program. After a system crash I have reinstalled Windows. Now my key doesn't work anymore. Please do the following: Uninstall AynDVD (Start->Program Files->SlySoft->AnyDVD->Uninstall). When asked to keep the old settings choose 'No'. Reboot. Install AnyDVD again. Register it with your key. Reboot.
Fred you should be OK. but its a good idea to do a clean reinstall of BOTH clonedvd 2 and anydvd every now and then. and yes that means uninstall the programs clean your registry(with CCleaner)etc. do a disc cleanup and even defrag reboot then reinstall.
@bilbo65 I agree with your statemnet on most programs. But with an encryption program like AnyDVD that is updated due to new encryption then it should be updated when a new update comes out.
Agreed. My point was that you don't need to periodicaly uninstall and re-install. Only if you are having problems.
i hadnt messed wioth it for a day, i went and turned my puter on lastnight icons were gone and i hade a popup form slysoft telling me there was a update. 6.0.7.0... downloaded it and not a problem one and only the 1 icon.... dont ask me how they got off my desktop, maybe my puter was just slow about removing them when i shut it down it did it then. i dont know?????
