anyone familliar with MPlayer? and a really dumb question

    I just downloaded the new version for OSX, I have a iBook G4
    with osx.. I dont get any video to play.. only sound comes
    out2.

    Have you read the manual? Maybe you should do that first.

    yes i read it,, i think i am just hoping for the hopeless. to see downloaded movies that will really never play..boo

    Do you just want to view divx movies? Have you tried VLC?

    I have VLC as well. i think these files just wont play..most of them are quicktime but it says quicktime doesnt have the compressor to view these files so i tried the other viewers. sometimes they work, but lots dont.booo
