-these were both alright movies but i bought them both on sale,so that tells ya abit in my opinion valintine is the better of the 2
I just saw "Assault on Precinct 13" which is a kind of modern day "Rio Bravo" (remember John Wayne??) Really good cast...Laurence Fishburne, Ethan Hawke, Drea Di Mateo (Adriana from the "Sopranos") Gabriel Byrne, Maria Bello (from Coyote Ugly and The Cooler) John Leguizamo...It's a remake, and although I never saw the John Carpenter version, this one is a really smart film. Worth the price of the rental
Cause I love 'em I got into the horror flicks when I was about 13 or 14 watching the old ones like C.H.U.D., Basket Case, Reanimator, Bad Taste, Dead Alive, the Freddy and Jason flicks and so on - great stuff! Excellent flick! Paxton did an outstanding job in that one too
Thats like me im into horror movies havent got many yet, ive got the a nightmare on elm street and friday the 13th box sets, the exorcist 1,2,3 and the beginning, a couple seperate movies (dawn of the dead new ver, children of the corn 3)
I would rate the whole movie a 3. There should have been more action and maybe some better dialog. The end though, I rate an 8.
[bold]Batman Begins[/bold] It was "dark" as real life story (life real sucks). Not bad [bold]Bad Santa[/bold] Not mutch to say. Bad [bold]Hellraiser VII Deader[/bold] Worst Hellraser ever seen...
"Frailty" was good movie. I watched "Final Cut" last night--I have NO idea what it was about. "Valentine" arrived cracked, have to wait for replacement. Sometimes, friends ask me WHY I watch thiller/horror/sci-fi movies. I'll tell you my opinion--you can't lose...they are either good or so bad they are hilarious. Not much in between. I bought the movie "The Day After Tomorrow" and have watched it often. Truly a good movie. Especially the guys who froze in a few seconds. I like the 50's "radiation-did-it" and the others. I watched a dvd a friend sent me about those movies in the 50's--Roger Corman had lots to say about those he made...some in ONE Day! "Vampira" was on it, she's a cool old lady now.
Batman Begins was definately better than the other Batman movies, some slow dialogue scenes though. Land of the Dead is one of the better zombie movies ive seen and ive seen alot. Might go out and rent George Romeros other zombie movies from the 70's and 80's. Eddie Griffin-Dysfunktional family Spiderman 2 was horrible, the plot had HUGE holes that just kill the movie. They are all pretty bad, exccept for Punisher. XMen was pretty good. Hulk was the worst money i ever spent. Blade 1 and 2 are probably the best Marvel movies ever made. PS. Batman is DC not Marvel.
I agree Hulk wasn't worth it.The Punisher was pretty cool. Elektra and Daredevil I didn't care for. I had to watch "Primer" again last night, deffinatly so many little things that I missed/ didn't realize were important the first time. Finding Neverland was a great family movie in my opinion. Secret Window was kind of a let down, the ending was too predictable. Traffic wasn't exceptional, I did like the way they followed the different angles on the drug game. I think I'm going to have to rent Basket Case now since Nephilim brought it up, saw it along time ago. Also might get part 3 when they live in the freak-house with all those muppets-on-acid looking things. Ahh memories.....
Creaky--I saw "Final Cut"--and did not quite get the point--I know what happened in the movie--just did not see the point. Robin Williams is a FAR better actor than a comedian. Anyone on here who liked (1) Tales from the Crypt (2) Tales from the Darkside (3) Friday the 13th-The Series (4) The old and the new Outer Limits?
