Well, "The Ring 2" was OK, but not as good as the first--as usual. Sometimes you wonder what were they thinking of when they create certain scenes. I DID like the special effect when the little boy was in the bathtub and the water burst out vertically (in spooky fashion). But, it was not really bad--like the ones where you WANT the monster to eat all the people. I like scenes like in "Mimic 2 or 3" where the bug-guy was walking the streets in that big overcoat.

Watched "Alone in the Dark" tonight. Pretty good computer-generated monsters--light fare...best part was Christian Slater as a 'tough guy' Still have "Finding Neverland" to watch--I have no idea what's it's about.

I spent couple of days by watching the entire 6-part movie serie of Lone Wolf & Cub. It was absolutely excellent experience, plot was interesting from start to very end and movies were visually very stylish - especially swordfighting scenes with unbelievable amount of bloodspurting victims. I was already seen american edition, Shogun Assassin, which was re-edited from first 2 movies of this serie and I liked it a lot, but watching these original asian versions was much more entertaining because whole story was more complicated and deeper: There was many elements which were completely left off from edited version, and ofcourse 4 later parts included material which wasn't used in the Shogun Assassin at all. All of you who like old asian and/or samurai-related movies should see these.

I also watched Sonny Chiba's The Street Fighter, quite brutal 70's karate flick which is one of Tarantino's favourites. That was 2nd time I've seen it and I liked it even more than at first time: This is one of those rare movies where hero isn't right-minded, shiny and good guy but maybe even worser crook than his opponents, he's on his mission only for money and he won't hesitate to use dirty tricks to accomplish his goal. It's very refreshing to watch something like that, those things make hero's characteristic very different from regular basis and they also give storyline a decent boost.

This is one of the more in depth (modern) football movies that have several stories rolled into one. The acting is great in my opinion. With a cast of stars like Al Pacino, Cameron Diaz (excellent job of portraying a "female dog"), Jamie Foxx, Dennis Quaid and quite a few more supporting actors that help to give the movie it's edge.
Seriously guys, this is one of my favorite movies of all time. If you're familiar with Playmakers, the TV series, it has the same feel but better. A true must see.

I just watched 'The Machinist" and have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it. Christian Bale looked every bit an Auschwitz victim in that film and his acting was excellent as always. The story really pulled me in and kept me wondering till the final spin at the end.

I am patiently awaiting for "Jeepers Creepers 3". Did anyone like those movies--#1, #2? A good monster--and we STILL don't really know anything about what he is...the scenes of him flying away with some kid in his talons in the moonlight was really scary--if I was a kid, it would have scared me big-time.

"The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" won't be out here until Tuesday. I did see it in the theater though. I was actually expecting something a little closer to the TV series. I enjoyed the movie But I think the characters in the TV series were closer to the books. I guess Simon Jones and David Dixon would be a little old to play Arthur and Ford now, but I liked their characters in the series. The movie was technically a lot better of course. I hope they make "The Restaurant at the End ogf the Universe" as a sequel. The TV series covered both of those books. I wouldn't mind seeing a Dirk Gently movie, either, but I'm sure that's not going to happed.

I thought "Two Brothers" was a good movie. I guess we all have different tastes. Otherwise they would only make movies that I like.

The villain in Red Eye, LOOKS like a classic villain. That guy needs to play the villain in every movie. God I love that guy.
