ADVENT CHILDREN IS OUT! And God, it's one of the best movies I've seen in years. The graphics are as good as real life, the action is JAW-DROPPING and INTENSE, and too STYLISH for your own health. The storyline is PERFECT for a Final Fantasy movie. Those who may have been disappointed by the storyline, view it not as a regular movie but a Final Fantasy Fairytale. =) Then you may see why the story is PERFECT for the FF atmosphere. I daresay that Tifa is gorgeous. =P
I saw Advent Children last night and wow it's freaking fantastic, story may not be great but it was relevant but hey who cares about that when as Toiletman said you have jaw dropping detail there were times when i thought the characters were real, i loved every min of it A MUST SEE. They should have never made X2 (full stop) and made Advent Children the first ture sequel to a Final Fantasy game. It would be great if they made a move for Final Fantasy 8 or even ten. @solargame it's a follow up to what happened after the story ended in FF7.
Hey, i watched batman begins and its a great movie, probably ONE of the best ive seen this year [EDIT] Last night i watched "club dread" that was a pretty good movie, i would watch it again
The Best Movies I have seen so far are CRASH and SAHARA. Crash reveals the different sides of Human Nature . Sahara reminds me of Indiana Jones............. Sam
Has anyone mentioned Baraka? One of the best ever. No words, only visuals. Superb. Also Quiz Show, and Metropolis (G. Marana version only)
IMO they should stay on the small screen, it's such a superb TV series. Turning it into a movie will spoil the "it should really be turned into a film, this TV series is so good, oh wait, maybe not" mentality when you're watching future 24 episodes. Or on the other hand, the movie could be a huge disaster. I saw Transporter 2, and it seemed to have some of Sin City's style. The fight scenes were realistic, the stunts were not. All in all, a great movie and a superb choice for any action movie fans.
Although its already been discussed I say saw and crash were 2 movies I recently saw and thought they were excellent. Saw because the ending was a shocker as I never thought the body there with them all that time would be alive. Crash I especially liked because it took you thru the impression of racism, bigotry, and stereotypes only to show that there is error in human perception. Also it showed the characters development, ignorance and realization that everything we hear, see, or say is not as it seems.
just watched Be Cool, it was funny in places, it was ok. Also finally watched Shaolin Soccer (twice), it was hilarious
I saw Family Guy the movie last night over someones house. The untold movie. I guess the movie was prettty funny. Some parts of it was just strange and boring.
Sin City, was ohhhhhhh-kay, not as good as all the hype i don't think.. also watched Memories ('95), v good, and Tokyo Godfathers - that one was excellent
I just watched a really wild Korean flick last night called "Oldboy". The premise of the story is this guy gets imprisoned for fifteen years, has no idea by who or why then goes on a rampage when he gets released. It had some nice helpings of the old 'ultra violence' and some seriously messed up/wrongfully kinky twists in it too. Anyone that enjoys twisted cinema would do well to check this one out
