My Sony camcorder is unfortunately broke (well the viewfinder is). Nowhere seems to fix them locally, and Sony want a minimum of £160 !
I noticed that some of the stores have almost none in stock now, and the one guy said its because you can get just as good video footage with a camera.
Any thoughts on this guys ?
Id rather just buy a new camera , as we could do with upgrading ours anyway as its quite old anyway.
My guess is it wont be as good as a camera, but we don't shoot that much anyway as the kids (NO) are older anyway.
My budget is near the lower end ..about £160.

    Appreciate any views.

depending on what part in the sony needs replacing it might be an easy fix if you can find the part.
GOpro is about the only video cameras i've heard of and might be able to get a basic 1 for about £160 or less.I checked out gopros website and £109 for entry level on gopro website, retailers probably sell them cheaper.
