Ariva 150 combi

I have the arriva 250 up and running and it appears to be going smoothly. Ccam is installed and cline in and all is well so far anyway. No glitches ! YouTube or Google Maps not working for some reason tho. Apart from that it seems to be the business.

i've put in that latest firmware... v20. but still getting some glitching after it heats up. Just realised i was downloading stuff at the same time though, so maybe my internet wasn't giving it enough.

I'll keep an eye on it.

 

there is new firmware out for both boxs which fixs the youtube and other issues, it also add's a music player where you can play music online for free, so hopefully it fixs the other issue for the 250's, going from FTA to a encrypted chan, the usage on a line is tiny, so unless your on silly speeds like 1 mb or something, 5 mb and above is ample enough, these boxs tend to over heat, so make sure nothing is on it or its in a enclosed space or you will get glitching also

nah... still glitching (with the c-line anyway). might be a little bit better with the new firmware, but definitely not as glitch free as the dreambox was.

 

Funny! I've had the 250 on for most of the evening and as yet there has been absolutely no glitching or freezing whatsoever, have had no problem Either when switching from encrypted channel to fta. I have updated to the latest firmware and YouTube is working. My only problem is that there are no Hd Movies or Sports. Maybe I have to just add them manually.

 

bax, as advised, a cline dont work proper on these boxs, a N Line is the only thing that works proper on these boxs, i have the n-line running and its rock solid.

@ Bee, are you saying the new firmware works ok, you watch a FTA chan for about 15 mins and then go to an encrypted chan and it clears and works?

 

Yes Sir so far anyway, not one problem. I have the latest firmware running from your sig. And it's a c line I'm using. As I've said the only problem I have is some channels missing and I'll try manually adding them for this problem. I've used the box all evening .. Surely it would've played up by now??

 

the clines were glitching on these boxs, N lines were recommended, but hey if its not glitching then happy days! I have a chan file for this box, this was done on the older 1.19 firmware, if you want to try it on this box it will sort the chans and you will have fvas, such as movies, sports, bbc red button, kids, music, let me know if you wanna try it, its at yer own risk if ya do!

 

why dont you down load the chan editor and pout one together, takes all of a good hour and the chans are where you want them

 

I have flashed the Ariva 250 with the latest firmware, everything is working, Youtube, youporn and also a new addtion of Grooveshark - which is a free online media player!

But the issue of hanging going from FTA to a encrypted chan still remains, while on a encrypted chan the box is perfect and you can go from chan to chan no prob, but if you watch say, BBC1 which is FTA for more than 10 mins and then jump to Sky Sports, thats where the box doesnt kick in and start requesting ECMS, have tried magcmd and same thing

 

When I flashed my ariva 150 with the latest ferguson firmware all went well until the box just froze with ASH on the display, any suggestions? How long does it take?

 

thats an eprom issue mate, what you flash it with? the box will need to be recovered, if you flashed it with the correct firmware then its an known issue with some of these boxs, there is a recovery tool

Hi flashed it with the latest version from the ferguson site. I just downloaded the eprom recovery tool and my anti virus says there's a trojan in it

 

there isnt a virus in it, I suggest you contact your seller and advise them of the issue, there is bad batch of these boxs that seem to be going about, mine included by the looks of it, if your box came up with the ASH issue using genuine firmware, then dont do nothing with it, send it back as its an eprom issue and will keep happening, so send it back, dont do anymore with it and tell your seller you want a new one

Hi have been following this thread also, I have the same issue, just a word of warning, dont deal with a crowd called SDI.ie on Ebay and online, irish back garden sellers if you ask me, they sell the ariva 250, they are bunch of snakes, there so called warranty is a sham, wont replace the box and wont replay to emails! stay well away you have been warned, make sure you let others know on sites to,
