For those of you that are the online movie rental buffs; in a recent article, big time online movie service Netflix is in the future going to add the option of renting commmercial movies in the format of HD-DVD.
Currently, they are giving users the options to modify their account to be able to receive the new format, but Netflix does not state when the HD movies will be available. Furthermore, the company makes you agree before hand that you have all the compliant playback equipment for HD-DVDs before making it your number one format choice.
The good news, though, is that Netflix is not going to tack on extra charges for the new HD rentals; you will still pay the same price as you did before.
Lastly, as for Blu-Ray rentals, the company has simply stated that you should check back later in the year for the Sony format.
