MR DOOM, i believe soo, just check the hard drive Compatibility charts before wasting money buying one,

    XBOX HDD compatibily chart

but if you dont see ur HD there since thts a pretty outdated chart, just give it a shot, and try use the hard drive you buy but yea, my XBOX before i sold it had a 1TB HDD and sold it for £699 coz it had a collection of everything xbox related...

I have my xbox connected to my Sky modem and that wirelessly gives me the internet on my laptop. I had it working a few days ago when rebooted my xbox with SlaYer 2.7. I reinstalled everything, made xbmc my dashboard and so on, FTP'd it with CoreFTP. Turned my xbox off then put it back on and it wont automatically pick up the connection again.

The light on the front of the modem keeps flashing on and off too... The modem model is a Sagem.

Ive looked at a million forums but they all have similar problems but not exactly mine.

I know this a problem that pops up in forums all the time put they dont specifically help!

Just wondered if any one would like to help me please?

Safee mate... u need to set up the Ip Adress agen to somehting lie ... 192.168.1.3 for FTPing... 192.168.1.1 for internet or something like tht...if you had Linux Dual Boot on ur XBOX, since linux supposidly picks up the internet connection automatically because it configures everything itsself, watever dashboard you switch thru it'll configure that for you in the background but seeing as you dont, u need to configure the network settings agen from scratch...

Linux is an Operating system which is compatible with the XBOX system, you can transform your XBOX into a Low end PC, using it basically for your office work and using Linux compatible Work suits... its like windows, but for the XBOX in general...

If you can connect to the internet on your laptop, the internet connection is fine, Just a problem with the XBOX and make sure that you set your IP to static when trying to FTP ...

    "
    1. click start menu
    2. select 'run'
    3. type in 'cmd' (winxp,2000) or type in 'command' for win95/98 etc
    4. type 'ipconfig /all' or 'winipconfig'
    5. it will show you all your pc network settings.
    6. write them down
    7. my home pc ip is 192.168.0.1 with a subnet of 255.255.255.0. So just use this as a example.
    8. I have my xbox setup with a static ip address of '192.168.0.2' with a subnet of '255.255.255.0' and a gateway of '192.168.0.1'. And have the static switch under xbox setting switched to 'YES' static..
    9. reboot your xbox

    IMPORTANT:
    - if you are connecting directly from your network card to your xbox you should be using a crossover.
    - if you are connecting from your hub/switch router etc to your xbox use a normal rj45 network lead..

    my flashfxp settings:
    example:
    ip: 192.168.0.2 Port: 21
    user: xbox
    pass: xbox

press the 'f5' key to refresh when connected.. "
    And voila
