there should be a sticker on your pc case or in your paperwork with your windows serial number on it.

there is no file to burn once it's installed...but you should either have a recovery disc that came with the computer, or the option somewhere to burn one set of recovery discs.

So, would it be considered illegal to download Vista even if I use my own Product Key?

I would think that if you had a product key for software that you obtained legally then it should be ok to download something that you own. I do it all the time with AnyDVD updated software. If you download Vista, somewhere down the line you'll have to verify it before you can use it anyway.

    Two things come to mind.

    1. Go to Windows update and make sure you have updated your updates soo that there are none left and if there are some left their should be something for IE 7 Update it.

    2. You can try and go to the microsoft website and download another copy of IE& and install on top of the old one.

    Try option one first.

Hey Danny, I found a web page you'll want to see that should answer all your questions about uninstalling IE7 so you can install it again:

    i All

I use a brand new HP with Windows Vista Home Premium, everytime I try to install Pirates of the Carribean - legend of jack sparrow the installer stops with the error "Installer was interrupted. No changes were made to your system. Try running the setup again...."

    1. I have only one User, with Admin Privilleges on the system
    2. Right clicked on the setup icon and chose Run as Admin...same error
    3. Chose the Backward compatibility option .... same error
    4. Turned off Windows Defender, Anti-virus, Firewall, Real-time protection .... same error

this is being used as a stand alone pc and doesnt have any connection to internet. So far my experience with Vista has not been friendly, Can some expert help me out with a series of steps I could follow to fix this error.

    Thanks
    CL

i am using windows vista ultimate which i installed it from windows vista all in one, whenever i start my computer from the log on screen it says activate windows whenever i try putting my serial keygen it says the key cannot be used for this edition of windows. the key i used while installing the ultimate software was vista business but it worked because it also has that edition of windows in my cd, but does not activate my copy of windows.

i also tryed using a ultimate keygen whenever i tryed to activate it, it loads then it disappears and then comes back to re-enter the key?
