Assistance needed in converting files to DVD

    I'm trying to convert some video files to DVD. They're 9 files that need to be merged and they're labeled as avi files but they don't register as avi. They're only recognized when I select search for files of all types. I tried using VirtualDub and Nero Vision but I had no luck. This is my first time trying this and any help would be appreciated.

    Find out what codec they use by dragging a file onto MediaInfo.

    So from there I could use Nero? I have Nero 6 which has Nero Vision 2.

    Which codec is being used by the files.
