Audio Confusion

    Please help me clear up some confusion over audio quality. I have a large MP2 file (extracted from a DTivo) at 48kHz and 192bps. What is the best method to convert this to a standard audio CD with the best audio quality? Using an audio converter, I have converted the MP2 file into a wav file (44.1kHz, stereo, 16 bit) and burned on a CD. The quality of the audio is noticebly less than audio CD.

    which audio converter did you use? try maybe EAC or CDex, but I'm not sure if they decode mp2

    Two very good programs are dBpowerAMP and CDex. I would recommend trying dBpowerAMP first and if it doesn't work, try CDex. You can download dBpowerAMP here:
