Alright, wav and other audio files are not playing in anything except for my media players. (ex: Winamp, WMP, ect) When I try to open something in sound recorder, the file loads but the play button is grayed out. A similar thing happens when I try to record, the record button is grayed out so I cannot.

When on the internet, I can't play any embedded files, even if they are mp3. On sites like google video or youtube, there is no audio.

Also, I'll add this example as well: I'm encoding some video in virtualdubmod and when I play the video in virtualdub there is no sound.

And, wav's that play when xp starts up and shuts down are not playing. Same thing with the standard error/beep noises. (and yes these sounds are enabled)

Any ideas for a course of action? As a note, I have the latest K-Lite Mega Codec Pack installed.
