audio problem

    i have a film that is low in volume have to turn tv up to half way to hear it ,is there any way to increase the volume before i convert it to dvd, it is a film i have downloaded

    Open in virtual dub mod (if it is an .avi file) and go to STREAMS > STREAM LIST the select the audio and right click and hit full processing mode then hit volume and make it higher. Set video to full processing mode and then File ? Save as Avi
    Note: if the audio is AC3 i wouldnt suggest doing this because it will be louder on your dvd player
