yippee, did have a serial port on pc just me being stupid download worked first attempt. will i notice any change to the box or channels when the codes change
When the codes change you will see "Data Is Being Updated" on the screen If this happens , just tune into S*Y Sports and it update faster for you , you wont need to input codes no more If you find its not updating for you Press Menu then 1570 and press the "Set Default Key" , press OK and tune into S*Y Sports and it should auto update for you BTW , well done on flashing your b0x
Hi Celtic71 Sorry for butting in. Ive just fixed my box from the"0" problem. Know i would like to update the firm wear, as previous. Is there a link to download the GT Rom Loader and the new firm w? Imputting the code all the time is agg. Currently got API Ver 2.59e E Boot ver :7.0 29th Jan 2007. Regards k
Soz, I have a usbto serial converter lead, purchased from maplins along with a female to female adaptor. Is that okay? Regards
for clones its the 2,57 fixed file, download to your desktop and unzip it, place the file on the desktop, connect the box using your cable and put it in standby and then click the the loader, click bin file on the loader and select the 2.57 file you have just placed on the desktop, press download and wait until its says download complete, the box will re-start itself. Then just connect to the TV and press menu, 1570, turn EMU to on and exit, exit again out to Sky sports and let it update
Guys im struggling. Loaded drivers for the usb serial converter. but all my coms are full until 7, however in gt loader it only goes up to com4?
The most common issue when installing the USB adapter and driver is selecting the correct port for your map software to recognize. You must make sure your particular software is looking on the correct port for it to transfer any data. To see which port your USB adapter is connected to, connect your USB adapter and follow the following instructions: 1. Go to the Start Menu 2. Right click on "My Computer" 3. Select "Properties" 4. Click on the "Hardware" tab 5. Click on "Device Manager" 6. Click the + sign next to "Ports (COM & LPT)" 7. One of the listed ports should indicate which port your USB adapter is connected to (e.g. COM1, COM2, COM3, etc.) 8. Go back to your map software program that you use to transfer data and make sure it is looking at the correct port. 9. You should be able to transfer data once the correct port is selected If you need drivers go here http://www.gilsson.com/usb_drivers_download.htm Follow my advice to step 7. Locate your USB Adapter Right click on that port and select properties. Then select port settings, then select advanced. At the bottom of that tab will be a drop down box with the port selected. Use the drop down to select another port (eg 1, 2 or 3). If the port you want to use is already allocated to something else, you can use the same procedure to reassign that port after you have finished. Save the selections in the usual way. The USB converter will be permanently assigned to the port you selected.
HAVE YOU POSSIBLY GOT THE LINK FOR IT? DO THEY EVEN SELL ONE? IVE GOT THERE USB SERIAL CONVERTER LEAD AND A RS232 SERIAL LEAD...
