you would be better off to dump Signatures as they do slow the site down..and some Signatures look like hell and some are insulting.
and use Avatars instead and set up code to set the max to 100 x 100 pixels no matter what the size of the pix installed, Avatars then can be set up in ye My Account page like most sites

Avatar Width: up to 100 pixels,max
Avatar Height: up to 100 pixels,max

then you can specify your own custom width and height for your avatar. Avatars must be no more than 100x100 pixels.

I like Signatures . But that is a cool idea that you can choose to see Signatures or not. That way people have a choice and won’t have to complain. Just an idea but maybe if you do decide to do that it could be under the reply box, under the part that says:


Check this box, if you want to get email notifications when new messages are added to this thread.
Check this box, if you want to use your signature.



And then you third could be "check this box if you DO NOT want to see signatures on this website" or something like that. Just an idea

 

it would more than liekey be somewhere filed unter your "my account" page.

 

Who knows right? But yeah one of those places would seem the most reasonable.
