I read your avi-DVD guide and noted that it takes 20 hours to encode the avi! Is there a faster method than this?

The info of the avi is:

    Video : 619 MB, 977 Kbps, 25.0 fps, 592*240 (2.46:1), XVID = XVID Mpeg-4

    Audio : 80 MB, 127 Kbps, 44100 Hz, 2 channels, 0x55 = MPEG Layer-3

    Thanks for the link.

It certainly is fast (did it in 40mins) but when I go to burn with nero 6 it freezes at 14% everytime.

do u get an error message comming up or does it just freeze?

are u multitasking at all?( burning while other programs are performing?)

try pressing ctrl alt delete and closin everything that does not say system or any other important ones and then load up nero and try burning, ps do not close eplorer.exe otehrwise u will have to restart pc

No error, it just freezes. A couple of times at 14% and a few where the time remaining has reached zero but it just carries on (left it for 35mins last time).

    No nothing running, just nero.
