I'm pretty new to this kind of think but after much messing about have come across NEROVision Express which has allowed me to convert AVIs -> DVDs in one easy step.

The only problem I have is the sound is now out of sync by about 2 seconds.

What can I do about this and whi is it happening ?

Yes it is Nero 6. I have tired using virtual dub to extract the audio to a wav and then re-embed it.

    This has made some improvement.

The original AVI played in MediaPlayer with no problems

For Spacemans --- Congratulations. I have been able to run exactly TWO DVDs unsing Nero 6. Both times after deinstalling and reinstalling the programs. NVE then refused to accept avi but would accept MPEG. But MPEG can not be transcoded. We should compare notes on how we got to the point where the program failed. The two DVDs I made were, however, perfect with sound. Isn't it a shame that Nero does not expend the effort to fix these problems and refuses to answer adequately questions submitted to them to get fixes? Mayne we should start a boycott of the products until they shape up.
