    Hi All,

I have just come across a problem that I have never encountered before with burning AVI files to a DVD-RW. I recently burnt an AVI file (movie file) to a DVD-RW and when I went to play back it back on my DivX player there was no sound but there was a picture. Other files I burnt had both sound and picture. I have tested the file on the PC and get both picture and sound. Now I know some are probably thinking codecs, but I started to paly it the other day and it did have sound. It is only when copied to another disc again that it happened.

Does anyone know of this type of problem int eh past and possible solutions.

    thanks

    Rotary,

Yes it does play on my PC with sound.

    D/L gspot and avicodec.

    AVICODEC - Audio - 78MB, 128kbps, 48000hz, 2 channels, 0x55 =MPEG Layer-3, CBR,,Supported

    GSPOT - Audio (Info) - 4800Hz, 129kb/s tot, Joint stereo, Lame 3.9

    Does that assist in this?.

    Thanks

sort of, was looking to see if it ahd more than 1 audio and the player was picking another audio stream up, but if only 1 then not sure on this...

does seem wierd just wondering if its something to do with pal/ntsc framerate speed or currupt headers, but just guessing

could try running through divfix for errors + strip and rebuild
