I have an .avi file on my computer. The a/v plays great on my computer but when I burn it to disc and play it in my standard standalone DVD player (which I have never had a problem playing .avi files before) I get an error on my DVD player that says
    "Video Resolution Not Supported"

I am not sure what to do so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and help

    Cheers.

What resolution is the file;the maximum resolution for avi on a standalone is generally 720x576.

im not even sure...lemme check....brb..um...I right clicked the file and looked for something that I could tell you but I am not sure what I am looking for. At any rate, how do i get it to play on my dvd player and not just on my computer? how do I find out the resolution the file is in?
