AVI files seem to Grow in Nero

    Hi.
    This is my first post and I hope someone can help me.
    I have an AVI file that I want to burn onto CD using Nero (I have the MPEG2/SVCD Plugin installed). The file was originally 713MB but after cutting off the closing credits with AVI-Splitter, the file is now 652MB (Small enough to fit on a 700mb CD right?.... not quite!) When I drop the 625MB file into Nero, Nero reports the file size as 1.065GB. Why does it do that? But more importantly, how can I "Fix" it?

    well if u want to make svcd the u need to check the minute of the last video u made ,is it less than 1.15minute or much more?
