    Hi,

I've just converted my 1st avi file to dvd by using Allok. The DVD won't play in my DVD player but will play in my Xbox360 - no big deal though.

My problem is that the lip sync is out. I went back & checked the original avi file on my pc & that is out. How do i fix this?

    Many thanks in advance

    Hi keane016
Try another program - here's a free one DivXtoDVD.
    Here's a guide to - link.

Thanks mate, i'll give that a try. Much appreciated.

I don't know if this is the same, but with Allok you get an option to convert 16:9 or 4:3, & also to tick a letterbox option. How do you know which one to choose? I'm not too clued up on ratios & such.

Also does it make much difference which sound you choose? AC3 etc?

    Thanks again

    Not a problem keane016

16:9 would be wide screen and 4:3 would be full screen. DivX gives you those options plus automatic. You can just leave it at automatic if you like. Just my experience but most avi's are widescreen so if you wanted full screen try 4:3.
DivX also doesn't give you a choice on the audio part - it's a really simple free program but it usually doesn't have the audio sync problems that other programs may have.
