.avi playing software for windows 98

    what is the best software for playing .avi and other format movie files on a windows 98se o/s? the standard windows media player bundled with the o/s does not play them. thanks in advance... pupudada

    Media Player Classic, with associated codecs to back it up.

    I use the one bundled with the k-lite codec pack, found at http://www.k-litecodecpack.com/
    It's the shiznit. No more need to install RealPlayer or Quicktime. Hooray!
