avi to dvd..or mpeg2

    if i want to burn an avi movie file should i convert the avi file to a "dvd" file or "mpeg2" file? i have found i can do both with winavi. it might help to add that i plan on burning with dvd decrypter.

    Can dvd players play mpeg???

    Read my 'sticky' thread http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/110106. the only difference is that on the project wizard you choose NTSC/PAL SVCD instead of NTSC/PAL VCD. MPEG2=SVCD or DVD; MPEG1=VCD.
    If the input movie's quality isn't gread don't expect a greter quality from VCD o SVCD.
    1 CD-ROM = 80' of VCD movie or 50' of SVCD movie. All DVD readers read VCD; SVCD aren't 100%.
