avi to mpeg2

    i'm having problems converting a AVI to MPEG2 so i can then get the film into vob. so i can burn it to a DVD, the problem is when i select the file it comes up "can not open or unsupported." i'm sort of new to this but i've done it before with no problems but this certain film is causing me hell.

    thanks mate after much fusking around i found out i didn't have the right codecs
