Yes , to improve the quality try CCE SP (as stated in my last post)

Find a web-site that shows screenshots of different encoders ...

You can Increase the Volume of an audio file Useing any Audio editing Program ,Even Tmpgenc has settings for Increaseing the Volume and Normalizeing the audio..I use an editor to Create My audio files to I can allways see if the Volume is soo low By looking at the audio"s Waveform on the TimeLine.....

This program allows you to burn DVD's quite nicely from different types of video files... ArcSoft ShowBiz DVD... No need to convert into vob or anything else--this program does it all for you...

You want it to be converted to VOB/BUP/IFO tho , as they are DVD files !!;-)

If you do not understand that jmackie , I would suggest reading more...

Sorry, what I meant is... once you add a file to a project in this program (avi for example), before it burns the DVD, the program automatically converts it to vob, so you don't need any additional software.

Accept the mpeg2 Encodeing Quality in Programs Like "Ulead DVD Movie Factory 3.0" and "NeoDVD" is
Not very good...I guess the Quality is Fine if your Movie is only 90 minutes Long but more than that the Quality really suffers, That is why it is Best to use one of the Few High Quality Mpeg2 encoders on the Market to encode your AVI Files to DVD Compliant Mpeg2 , This way you get the Best Possible Quality with the smallest Possible file size...Cheers

Mmmh, could any1 plz explaine to me how to use CCE SP.
I can't seem to find the right stream type, to get the movie into 1 m2v file, and 1 wav. or does it matter what outputs they are,I realized there where a lot of different types of audio/video outputs.
If i just leave the outputs as they are (waf/mif or wutever they where called) will dvdAuthor be able to encode them to the right form of Video/AudioTS?

heh, this is a bit messy post, oh well.

    thanx

You need to re-mux the Video & Audio if you have m2v + wav.

Have a read up on it & see how you get on , it is one of the best encoders about !!: )
What if you have a multi-episode .avi file ?
I'm not sure that I understand what you're asking fjmuh :s

Did you re-mux seperate Video + Audio back together , before converting to VOB. ??

P.S why are you using such an awkward method ?

Yes Alexander , I do it the very easy way (most of time)

    And this is the method:
    [bold]MainConcept MPEG Encoder 1.4[/bold]
    DVD
    PAL
    Program (Video+Audio)
    Layer 2
[They are the settings I'd choose , cos I live in PAL land].

Then when you have an MPEG2 which has 48000Hz audio , I would use [bold]TMPGEnc DVD Author[/bold] to convert to VOB [whilst adding chapters/menu(s) if need be].
