The audio could be out of Sync for a few Reasons but the Most common is that you encoded the AVI file useing a Different Frame Rate than the AVI files Frame rate...You can not use Most encoders to encode Files to a different Frame Rate so you should allways encode the AVI file to Mpeg useing the same Frame rate as the AVI file...If your AVI file is 23.976fps you will have to encode it at 23.976fps But use 3:2 Pulldown to make it a NTSC DVD Compliant 29.976fps..If you are useing the Mainconcept encoder and your AVI file is 23.976fps and you don"t know how to set it up to encode it with 3:2 Pulldown Let me know and I"ll explain the settings you have to use...cheers

If you've encoded correctly you will not have an .avi file extension as an output.

VOB/BUP/IFO files are what a DVD-Video is made up from ;)

Whoah, now i'm confused, i thought CCE does all the encodings, so does this mean i use i.ex Canopus Procoder to make the movie wav+ m2v, and then dvd author to make them vob ifo etc... and then use CCE to encode them to sumn else?
heh, how does this circle go around now?

Sorry , I didnt answer as I thought you were asking someonoe else... as I do not use Procoder or anything that takes video & audio apart.

    MainConcept MPEG Encoder 1.4
    TMPGEnc DVD Author 1.5
    Nero 6

    Settings in MainConcept:
    DVD
    PAL
    Program: Video+Audio
    Layer 2

Then you'll have MPEG2 (DVD compliant) file which you can then use in TMPGEnc DVD Author ...
