Also, depends on whether your standalone player (if you have one) plays xvid's or not,if it does, then all you need is to burn them as data. i.e use nero
I highly recommend to anyone that has'nt got a dvix player,to get one.
Saves a lot of hassle, and time consuming file conversion
And often the results are not as good as the original source
You can pick a half decent player for less than £30 these days from svp

@tmwslick, Depends on what programs you have. If you have nero all you have to do is load the files you wish to convert using Nero Vision then it will convert them to DVD files then burn them on a blank DVD.I myself use Nero,ConvertXtoDVD,and TMPGEnc. Nero can be picky sometimes with certain files so i use convertx.

@0208psp, You really should start your own thread your hijacking slicks but i will try to help. Like i stated to slick Nero can be picky it might not have converted those files. Also did you just save the files on DVD or did you try to convert them to dvd and then burn them.

well, you did say you burnt the file as data, which is wrong
if you have a video ts folder, use a program called folder2iso,then burn the image with imageburn

If you put a dvd in your PC it should auto play. Unless you change the settings otherwise
