Avi2DVD on this website (and web) contains spyware/malware?

Hi, I've been poking around recently in the world of DVD backups. I've been trying several programs and recently installed Avi2DVD, which I thought would solve my problems.

During the install, somewhere between installing Avi2DVD and some piggyback program "AviSync" or something, I get a warning from my Anti-Virus that spyware is attempting to install itself on my computer through a file called "lame_enc.dll"

Is anyone aware of this or had a similar problem?
Needless to say I had the AV remove the file and I canceled the install and removed it from my system.

I had the same thing happen when I tried to install the program from its "homepage". No dice, No cigar. Throw this shit away and remove it from your webpage, please

    sincerely,

    the dude

if you want a good file converter you might try using convertxtodvd2, no spyware or anything else to mess up your system, but it is not free, it is one of the best money can buy
