    I just re-installed windows xp on my pc and now i cant access the internet, i plugged my ethernet cable into the back of my pc and tried to go on the net but the page appears with 'internet explorer cannot display the webpage'. I tried putting the ethernet cable in my laptop and i connect to the net no bother. The copy of windows xp i installed had some components removed is it possible the network adapter has bn removed? plz help. thanx in advance.

    moved to correct forum. what does it show under network adapters in device manager? did you use your motherboard cd to load all drivers?
