I'm having a lot of the movies that I back-up freeze halfway through the movie. If I restart the player and go to scene selections, it's still kind of jumpy for the last part of the movie. I've been using DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter to back the movies up. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

you might be using good media but if your burner is old (2-3yrs or so) then some 16x media might not have good write strategies for those disks! Check your firmware if it's up-to-date:

Also if you had a hard time ripping the movie then you might get symptoms that you are experiencing!

another possibility is dirty disk, or dirty player! sometimes a little cleaning goes a long way..... use one of those DVD player cleaners found in CompUSA, Best Buy or CircutCity.... use air in a can to get dust out of those old players/burners! You never know!
