Aagggggggrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhh this is doing my head in this. For all the first half on sly sports it was fine second half nothing but bad/no signal and breaking up constantly. Any other suggestions????
Give the internal signal booster a try in TV settings, Turn it on save and exit, mains off/on and try again.
No mate still no joy... its really intermittant you can go 10 mins solid without anything then it all goes pear shaped..
Did you try putting a splitter in line as you suggested above just to see if lowers the signal, try that and see if it helps.
I did it last night and thought it sorted it as it worked a treat and all day until 16:45 then it just went bad again breaking up. It has defintely lowered the rate im now on 73-76 ish fluctuating.
Are you subscribed with VM and do you have the subbed receiver they supply you with, if yes plug it back in and call them out, tell them its an intermittent fault at night (when the usage is high) you seem to be having problems at high usage times so see if they can reposition you in the cabinet, it worked for me mate, I was having problems with setanta sports constantly after 5 and its one of few channels I watch, a quick phone call to them and they moved me in the cab and its been fine since.
Hi mate Ive tried the box at my nans were i originally had the box and it does work perfect on every channel. Do they program these boxes by area? Has it some sort of network ID? as its only when i try it at my new house it doesnt work or do you think its more than likely an issue in the cab?
I had a similar problem and I called out a VM engineer and he repositioned my feed in the cabinet and its been fine every since, I would guess its either your cabling inside the house or it needs moving in the cab, you may have to subscribe to the minimum TV package so you can get them out and move you up in the cab.
sod it what ill do is borrow my mates vm freeview box and call em out cos im not happy with the way they put the cabling still visible in my garden and while there out ill tell em it keeps breaking up on the freeview,
God mate sorry to bring this thread back up.... but still having this issue.... Its defo not the box now anyway, i think like you have said before i may need moving in the cabinet. But because i just have the broadband im trying to think what the best way to get them out would be??? Any ideas?
Well got it all sorted pal... the interne connection went off so a guy came out and said the all the connections were down on my tap.... so the tap has been changed now the box is fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Apologies Daz not been in for a while so missed your posts (too many idiots about), glad you got it sorted mate, all the best
