It's probably the computers built in calender and clock that windows reads. Try cheating the calender and see what happens. I haven't had any issues with the latest version yet. What are the titles, version, and region code of the movies that are failing?

Here are some movies that I did this week. They all failed. I can't figure out why. This software was running pretty smoothly for a month or so and then I hit a brick wall.

I tried using different versions for all movies and each version failed. I'm running XP with a Phenom Quad core. All Bluray discs are Region1 USA.

I've tried removing all software and re-installing the latest versions of BD-RB, AviSynth, Media Splitter, FFdshow (with mpeg2 decoder enabled and DVD decoding checked).. I'm still getting the same "Encode failed" error.

I've followed the instructions on the first page of this thread.

Any idea what the problem can be or thoughts on how I can get this working?

    hi rounder00 and others.

Rounder00, it appears your on the right track, as those three are vital to BD Rebuilder, and if they are properly installed, then all should work.

One thing about the Matroska Splitter, and probably this goes for the others as well....is that you should place them all on the Root Drive. If other

programs with codecs, codec packages or other like programs have been installed, then those could be a conflict causing possible failures.

The latest BD-RB is terrific, as the settings for "high Speed" and "One Pass encoding" is turning a real treat.

I haven't changed anything on my system and an I am never online with my bluray system. Why would the software work for 2 months or so, and then just suddenly stop working? I have reinstalled all softwares hoping this would fix the problem, with no success.

Maybe Something changed? If I take what you commented in reference to..."I haven't changed anything on my system and an I am never online......", then you might go online and check for some updates that might be necessary. Your snapshot logs indicated what version? of BD Rebuilder? Maybe you are reinstalling the same versions that may need updating?

    Good Luck.

Thanks for the advice Chiamos. I've tried doing what you've suggested (removing other software/codecs that might interfear and I've re-installed Matroska Splitter at the root directory of my C: drive. Still no luck. I just tried another blu-ray and this is the error I get:

    -----------------------
    [01:24:10] BD Rebuilder v0.25.04 (beta)

    - [01:24:10] Extracting A/V streams [VID_00000]
    - Error in attempt to extract audio/subs.
    -
[01:46:26] - Failed to retrieve audio, aborted

Any chance one of you guys that have this burning process working properly could post a file in this thread with your settings exported from FFDshow to help us out?

This error is most likely a problem with TS Muxer attempting to retrieve audio and not finding it. It could be that the structure of the movie is confusing RB. I noticed you were trying movie only, have you tried a full backup just to see if the structure of the disc is involved?

Yes, I've tried movie only as well as full backup and I get the same errors. Should I try downloaded and replacing "tsmuxer.exe" in the tools directory? Any other suggestions?

    Thanks! much appreciated!

I've re-installed BD-RB on my second partition and tried another blu-ray that I've ripped to my drive with "Full movie" selected this time around. This is the error I just got..

I'm willing to try anything to get this working so if you have suggestions please let me know...

    Thanks!

This error with "Encode failed....Aborting" is mostly occurring, because all that is required.....is usually not properly installed or setup. Also there could(?) be issues when the BDRB FOLDER is placed on another Drive or partition rather than placed with the other needed programs on the System Drive?

I have two drives installed in my PC and I rip the movies to my spare with more space. I'll try ripping it to my C drive and let you know if that makes a difference.

Would any of you be able to save out a working preset for ffdshow?

    Thanks!

One can place rips and working folders on other drives, but shortest paths are better. But again, try and place the BD Rebuilder Folder, splitter, avisynth and fddshow on the root drive. Enable mpeg2 in fddshow. Maybe you should go back to page one in here and make certain you have followed all the steps and use "only" the versions that are indicated....then after all is setup once again, then reboot and all should work.

Okay. I'm going to do this now. Could I be missing the mpeg2 option in FFDshow...? To enable I've located it on the first page and "libmpeg2" is the decoder selected. I'm fairly certain this was already enabled when I've installed the program so could there be another place in the program where I have to enable it?

    Thanks!
