What wind generated power's not affecting your efforts. LOL

When you right click and choose run as administrator you should have received what you see in the image below. The idea is to register it with windows (this is from Windows 7 32bit).

It only shows 32bit because I have a 32bit program. If I had done it with a 64bit it would have read 64bit, but otherwise everything else is the same since I am only using features built into 32/64bit Vista and Windows 7.

You will probably need to update the latest version of Vista 64.

k got it workin, now a new problem guys

When its finished it has SEVERAL stream mts files to burn. But if I put them all on a disc it doesnt play the movie right.

My burn to imgburn AUTO doesnt seem to work in the new build.
How do I use imgburn to make this a movie if there more then 1 BDMV Stream file?

Use Imgburn to convert your movie (everything in the folder) to an image file (ISO)first. It will recognize your files for what they are so just agree and select OK. You can't necessarily just add the files to a burn without indicating what it is and it's proper. Imgburn will do that for you. Never use your computer while your burning. I usually store my ISO files and burn them when I go to bed for the night. You can user your computer while encoding or creating the ISO but if you do it while burning even a small pause by your computer will render the disc useless.

I can't say that this will answer your question because you didn't mention how you were trying to play the disc or what you burned it to.

I want to contribute to this thread. Is this the right place to do that?

I have used BD_Rebuilder 0.32.05 to do several BD discs with very good results. I have a Philips BD player and have been able to play my discs in that by doing the following. I rip the orig disc with AnyDVDHD and used BD-rebuilder to downsize the movie only to the (AVCHD? Format?) I then use Roxio MyDVD to burn the M2TS file to a BD Folder on HDD. I then copy the folders like data files using Roxio. The resulting disc plays perfectly. I can add chapters in Roxio and they work too. The only thing I haven't figured out how to do, its get the Subtitles into the Roxio BD file so I can use them in the PHilips player. I have been putting the BD folders onto DVD9 discs and they work fine in my Philips player. Maybe there is a way to build a compatible disc format with something other than Roxio? Would like to know that if...

Yes it is if you're interested in discussing and using BD RB by asking for or giving assistance to others or doing both. In short, welcome aboard.

Thanks so much. My results with BD RB so far have been excellent. It runs just fine on my duocore 6600 pentium - about 8-10 (overnight) hours for a process. First question: will you work on a way for us to produce BD folders (versus the AVCHD format) so we can burn them direct without reformatting with something like Roxio to make them compatible with standard Blu-Ray standalone players? I don't have a PS3 or other game console so I am interested in backups that play on standalone players.

so i must be doing something wrong but i cant figure out what. Every backup i have made with bd-rb is causing makeMKV and tsmuxer to hang at the end of the conversion process. I have also noted that if i play the m2ts file that bd-rb creates the file will play however as soon as i try to goto a different chapter the player crashes. the issue seems to be related to the chapters.

i am using the following settings:
    bd-rb .32.05
    one pass cbr
    custom target size 21480
    keep hd audio
    highest quality setting
    moive only backup

any help would be greatly appreciated.

We're going to need some additional information before we can help you.

    Computer specs and operating system.

Most errors are cause by setup, the use of incorrect software versions recommended for use with BD RB, and not giving ones system administrative permission to run the application or applications.

If you could post a log of a failed attempt that would also be helpful.

I've never met a disc that I couldn't backup with BD RB although some have challenged me to look for answers.

ive tried it on two xp machines and one vista machine. regardless of the machine and setup they all produce the identical issue. so that tells me its not hardware or os related.

i double checked and i am using the recommended versions of the required software.

generating a log at this point would require me to re-compress a movie which on my machines can take upwards of 48 hours. before going that route i would like to see if anyone has any other ideas.

Just wanted to pass on something that might be helpful to somebody: When I first tried to run BD RB it stopped mid-process a couple of times. Just hung. I finally ran Symantec 360 Register Clean up and it wiped a bunch of Power DVD9 stuff. I haven't tried to use DVD9 (in fact uninstalled it) since I got it because it wouldn't play anything. But on install it had loaded up my registry with all kinds of junk. However, after the Register Clean Up, BD RB has ran perfectly since.

no I missed that. but even if that were the case that would have no bearing on the vista box which is primarily what is used to create the backups. The xp boxes were used as test platforms to see if could replicate the issue.

Your issue is very unlikely to be hardware related unless you're trying this on an older single core processor. Your issues are most likely due to setup since you seem to have the same problem with all of your rigs. I'm using Vista and Win7 32 bit with no issues whatsoever. In fact I have yet to meet the movie that I can't backup.

Case and point. I just tried to rip the movie "Yes Man" but it would not rip the last 47 seconds of the movie so I cleaned the disc and tried again. I got the exact same result and at the end of each failed rip AnyDVD gave me the option to delete the complete file but I chose no. I opened TMT 3 and it played the movie all the way to the end through the credits.

Since the movie contains a 640kbs sound track and was only an our and 44 minutes in length I figured it was a good candidate for a 720P BD-5. The first attempt failed quickly so I tried again with a different setting and it too failed to start X.264 (total time for both tires about 30 minutes. I then went into the stream folder and located the movie file which was only 17.6Gb in size so I figured I'd isolate the movie in movie only and since it was too small to reencode X.264 wouldn't be called up.

I set it for BD-25 and no changes and I was right. It essentially extracted the movie from the rest of the content without reencoding it and then rebuilt the structure to a 17.6 Gb BD-25. Since the movie was unchanged with no loss of bitrate or audio I once again set it to reencode to a BD-5 and it worked like a charm. I then burned it and the rest is history. I always assume when you run into any issue that something got overlooked, and to everyone else. Not every failed rip is a failed rip for our purposes.
