Are you certain that you made these settings under FFDSHOW "Video Decoder Configuration?" If so can I ask which version of FFDSHOW do you have installed?

It's been a while since you've dropped in. I can't say if MKV will work or not but someone tested a cam copy of a movie and Cinavia apparently still worked. Unfortunately without owning a PS3 I can only rely on what others are saying about Cinavia so I can't say what will work or not, but will PlayStation's play MKV files? HTPC's seem to have no difficulty playing them which works just fine for me since my PC monitor is an LG LED 32" backlit TV (32LE5400).

Got a NEW problem. I just tried making a back up of Expendables....When I play it I the audio all messed up after 20 seconds and it starts showing the behind the scenes, but with the normal movie audio.

I did do the "movie-only" option so I will try once more doing a full back up instead...man im wasting alot of money on blank BD's :(

Seems like no newer movies are working. Hope you guys are working on an update soon:)

why don't you make movies into iso and mount them with something DAEMON Tools and then use ArcSoft TotalMedia Theatre 3 to play it back on the computer. so you can check it before burning to BD-R's to save money.

So I posted a page ago about BD Rebuilder not working. No answer. I posted again in its own thread and it got closed because I posted twice I guess. I am doing something wrong that it is getting ignored or does no one know? I get through 100% encoding, but as soon as it gets to re-encoding it fails. Anyone have any ideas why or what I can try to fix this?

Have you considered playing them before burning them or burning them to a rewriteable dis first?

Will need more data on your issue.

Ok I got it to work with doing a back up that WASNT the "movie only" option. So I did the full thing. Annoying that it has BD live and previews but at least it works! :)

    CURRENT VERSION 0.37.01 (January 3rd, 2011)

    http://www.jdobbs.net/freeware/BD-RBV03701.zip

    - Added a routine that automatically checks for
playlist links and, when changes are made to the
audio or subtitle selection the change ripples
through all members of a playlist. Please note
that a single M2TS file can be a member of more
than one playlist. For clarity, any entry that
is a component of a multi-part playlist will be
highlighted with a "*" in the BD-RB streams
list (ex: "VID_00001*") on full backups.
    - Added a new audio type for ALTERNATE MKV output.
You can now set aType to keep the original audio
intact (unchanged). Also added a new profile as
an example ("MKV Container, 1920x1080, Intact
Audio"). This allows AC3 as well as LPCM and DTS
    output to MKV.
    - Added a new hidden option "ALTERNATE_PAL=n". When
set to "1" while "Assume PAL for DVD Output" is
selected an alternate method is used to convert
FILM (23.976) sources. The framerate will be
directly assumed to be 25fps (rather than using
a conversion algorithm) and the audio will be
adjusted to match the new timeline. This method
can result in clearer video playback at the
expense of some slight audio change. Note: This
    applies to DVD output only.
    - Added code to prevent a system from going into
SLEEP mode while BD-RB is executing.
    - Corrected a bug in which DVD-5/9 ALTERNATE output
combined with multiple audio tracks might combine
to exceed the DVD maximum bitrate and buffering,
and result in a "ERROR in attempt to mux (MPLEX)"
    error.
    - Corrected an error in the sizing algoritm for DVD
ALTERNATE output. Previously any changes in the
framerate (e.g. PAL from NTSC or FILM) could
    result in oversizing/undersizing.
    - Modified settings so that an SD source that is
being inverse telecined and converted to 1080 will
    become 1080p @ 23.976fps rather than 1080i @ 29.97
    via X264's pulldown mechanism.
    - Corrected an issue in which BD-RB, under certain
circumstances and during movie-only encoding might
set the remux framerate incorrectly to NUL, and
    cause audio desynchronization.
    - Corrected an error in which a 7.1 LPCM audio that
is being converted to DD would fail causing BD-RB
to "freeze" while attempting to reencode audio.
    - Refined the MPEG-2 scan to better detect pulldown
    v.s. hybrid sources.
    - Corrected a conditional decision so that LAVF will
not be used when pulldown is detected in a source.
    - Other minor corrections and cosmetic fixes.

If you look in your BD RB folder you will see mscomct.ocx (you mean MSCOMCTL) in there and you will also see this one REG_MSCOMCTL. Right click on MSCOMCTLd.OCX and choose run as administrator, and just to be save double left cllick RESG_MSCOMCTL.REG to be safe and the try it. For more instructions on setup go to the first post in this thread.

Here's a couple of things that you can try first:

In your BD RB folder make certain this isn't in your INF file (a text file) "SUPPRESS_FF_WARNING=1" if it is then delete it. It's added when you tell BD-RB to not ask you again about setting the registry.

Go to command prompt icon, right click and choose run as administrator. This opens cmd.

Then in command prompt type as follows below and note all the spaces, when you're done then hit enter:

To enable the Windows 7 administrator account:

    net user administrator /active:yes

When that's done return to BD RB folder and locate MSCOMCTL.OCX right click and register it.

    Try this next:

In the BD Rebuilder folder, right after you get the error message, open LASTCMD.TXT and copy the command to the clipboard. Then open a CMD window, paste the command and hit ENTER. You should be able to see why the encode is failing.

I have a couple of questions. Both my hd tv's are 720p resolution. Would it benifit me to change bd rebuilder's settings to Resize 1080p to 720p? Next question if I'm doing a dvd 9 backup would like to remove HD audio and convert to 5.1 Dolby Digitial. How do I do this. Right now I have both do not convert DTS to AC3 and Do not reencode AC3 keep HD Audio for BD 25 encoding..

How are you ripping your file? If you're using BD RB and ripping to image you mnight want to select Rip Video DVD To Hard Disk.

    PSN1993

Check the audio settings inside BD RB and you'll see that HD audio is not an option with BD9. The only audio track that you need is 448kbs.

Everything gets worked out in time. If you can see the original and play the original then it's only a matter of working toward what has changed.
