Yes, I used anydvd and selected rip video DVD to hard drive.... and then, I would open BD Rebuilder. But, I couldn't browse the file into the source path. This message would show up first "an error 2501 [22:29:23] SourceCheck() 00006 2501" and then this "selected source is not BD format" would showed up after..... I've tried to uninstall and install the required ffd show, Avisynth, and Haali media splitter. It is doing the same thing. What should I do?? thx in advance

you said that you were using anydvd to rip to the harddrivebut just in case you didn't know you need anydvdHD for blu-ray rips.

    CURRENT VERSION 0.37.03 (January 16th, 2011)

    http://www.jdobbs.net/freeware/BD-RBV03703.zip

    - Corrected an error in which pulldown could be
incorrectly applied to a hybrid source.
    - Fixed an error in which BFF (bottom field first)
MPEG-2 sources may not be correctly identified.
    - Corrected an error in which 24fps sources that
were rebuilt for movie-only were not using the
correct muxing rate and as a result did not
    have audio synchronization.
    - Fixed a bug in which setting DEINTERLACE and
IVTC concurrently would cause an incorrect AVS
to be generated on a source with pulldown. As a
result, a nonsensical framerate and audio sync
    problems would occur.
    - Corrected the ALTERNATE/DVD output so it will
    properly handle 24fps sources.
    - Changed actions in combinations of resizing SD
to 1080p in combination with IVTC.
    - Updated the included version of X264.EXE to the
    latest release (r1867).
    - Updated the included version of X264-64.EXE to
    the latest release (r1867).
    - Other minor corrections and cosmetic fixes.

All I use is DVDfab blu ray copy which is basically shrink for blu ray. If movie only doesn't fit 25gb disks, I split it to 2 disks. I use verbatum 25gb,2x,LTH disks,$36.99 for 20 disks. On sale you can get them at Supermedia store for around $33.00 for 20. As far as cinavia protection goes, read the last few posts on cinavia protection in the DVDfab forum. There is a link to you tube that shows a simple work around for PS3 which does work with a slight loss in audio quality. Also if your player is working fine with the blank media that you use, DON'T update your firmware. Reports have said Cinavia could be in that update. A firmware update for an LG player actually removed Cinavia from 2 different guys players because of problems with it. You can bet these 2 guys aren't going to be updating soon!!!

Sorry, got lost and probably posted in wrong forum. I need my coffee!

On movies with around 2 hours and 30 minutes of content and a single audio track, probably nothing that the eye can even come close to detecting. On movies that push to 3 hours and beyond or episodics' it's hard to say but I wouldn't do it. The key is that a two pass system allows for much more accurate calculation of available space and before assigning bitrate.

I dont get why anydvd HD hasnt broke the cinavia thing but dvdfab has? Cant they use the same method? Also can you use dvdfab with BD-RB?

I tried to burn my firs BD 25 disc last night and it failed. I have a new LG BH10LS30.
I used a Verbatim 6x BD-R [VERBAT-IMe-00] @ 4x that came with drive. I got a Retry Failed - Reason: Invalid Address For Write. I set burn speadd to 4X. Any one with this burner LG BH10LS30 that has had sucess with certain media if you could post the media id that would be great. Thanks..I did make sure the firmware was updated to 1.00 -09

I just installed Windows 7 64-bit on my system and am having a small problem setting up BD-RB. Here is the result on the inspection.

    - Windows Version: 6.1 [7600]
    - AVISYNTH Version: 2.5.7.0, Ok
    - HAALI Splitter: Ok
    - FFDSHOW: 3326, Ok
    - WIN7 preferred AVC CODEC: Not Set correctly
    - WIN7 preferred VC-1 CODEC: Not Set correctly
    - WIN7 preferred MPEG2 CODEC: Not Set correctly
    - FFDSHOW VC-1 set to "wmv9", Ok
    - FFDSHOW MPEG2 set to "libavcodec": Ok
    - FFDSHOW AVC set to "ffmpeg-mt": Ok
    - BD Rebuilder v0.37.0.3, Ok
    - X264: Ok
    - AFTEN: Ok
    - FAAC: Ok
    - MP4BOX: Ok
    - WAVI: Ok
    - TSMUXER: Ok

As you can see the 3 entries for WIN7 show as incorrect. Can someone point me in the right direction to correct these settings? The 3 for FFDSHOW were incorrect but I was able to correct those since I had to do that when I first started using BD-RB.

Vulcan94-Go to start programs ffdshow video decoder configuration find format you need to change then click decoder and select the correct option there.AVC should be set to libavcodec,VC-1 should be set to wmv9,Mpeg2 should be set to libavcodec. Hope this helps..

PSN1993, Thanks for your help but I had already set those to the correct settings. The settings that weren't correct involved Win 7 not being setup correctly. The answer was so simple that I now feel quite the dumb ass. All I had to do was to actually run BD-RB! It corrected the settings for me. I will now go stand in the corner with my dunce cap on my head.

    CURRENT VERSION 0.37.04 (February 7th, 2011)

    http://www.jdobbs.net/freeware/BD-RBV03704.zip

    - Added a new option in the ALTERNATE output
selections. You can now choose a target size
in addition to CRF or bitrate.
    - Made some minor improvements in the way IVTC
is handled that can improve picture quality.
    - Added a hidden option "DEINTERLACER_TYPE" that
will allow you to set the type of deinterlace
algorithm to use (when selected from SETUP).
The settings are: 1=Decomb w/o blend,
    2=Decomb w/blend, 3=SmoothDeinterlace, and
4=Progressive. The last option (4) should be
used when the source is progressive -- but it
needs "fake-interlaced" to be asserted during
    encode.
    - Added a new hidden option "EXTENDED_GOP".
Setting this value to "1" will instruct BD-RB
to use a 48 frame GOP size when writing to
    BD-5 OR BD-9.
    - Inserted temporary code to prevent streams that
contain IGS from being processed. Since these
are normally menus and by nature are small,
they will be kept intact. This should prevent
the rare "Menu without buttons" issue until
    IGS reintegration routines are completed.
    - Changed setting for "Use X264 Internal LAVF" to
    "on" as the default.
    - Corrected an error in which using BATCH mode
can sometimes incorrectly set the audio and
    subtitle selections.
    - Corrected a bug in which under very rare and
specific circumstances LAVF could be selected
even though IVTC is in effect.
    - Corrected an error in the ALTERNATE OUTPUT
dialog that could cause checkboxes to be set
    at the same time.
    - Corrected a problem in which some VC-1 sources
    might be incorrectly IVTC'd.
    - Updated the included version of X264.EXE to the
    latest release (r1990).
    - Updated the included version of X264-64.EXE to
    the latest release (r1884).
    - Other minor corrections and cosmetic fixes.

Well I got the BD-RB working (still learning). I thought that BD-RB would shrink to a DVD and play on a DVD player. Am I misstakeing about this? The disc I burnt only plays on a BR player. I didn't change any of the settings after downloading BD-RB on my new computer. By the way the disc plays just like the BD disc.

We're still here. I've been otherwise involved and have found less time to chime in. I also feel that it's time for members to start sharing their experiences, issues, and fixes.

BD RB will shrink a blu-ray to a single or dual layer DVD disc but the structure is still blu ray and that requires a blu ray reader.
