With the current state of compression used by broadcasters there doesn't look like there will be enough room left to offer high fidelity sound options. 6.1 and 7.1 audio is possible but they will be either a matrix surround solution (ie. Dolby Digital EX) or a discrete surround solution (ie. Dolby Digital Plus) at a relatively low bit-rate. Of the two options Dolby Digital EX is the only option that the de-facto-standard digital audio connection technology, S/PDIF, (used primarily over Digital Coax and Optical toslink cable) can handle. maxshafiq , your room setup should be fine but you will need to pick the correct speaker setup for that environment .you won't want a harsh speaker like Bose lol. i dislike Bose anyway way over rated.
